Create
I started my professional life as a sound engineer and illustrator, but was quickly drawn into the (then) new world of digital animation for games and film. I have passionately followed a fascinating career in the fringes of Hollywood’s film world.
I have breathed cinematic life into various monsters and comic characters for Ironman 3, Captain Marvel, Gregory the Gargoyle in Sandman’s first season, and contributed to world-class films, such as Blade Runner 2049 and Arrival, in various roles from animation artist to CG supervisor and Animation Supervisor/Director.
I practiced my craft in the most renowned studios in the VFX world: Digital Domain, Sony Pictures Imageworks, Scanline VFX, Framestore, and Rodeo FX.
This extraordinary journey through the magic of CGI and film production has also given me invaluable experience in managing multicultural teams of creative people. As an experienced manager, I excel at mentoring talent and effective communication.
Creatures
Here is a look at my past work. This first reel below showcases my ‘hands-on’ works from a variety of shows, as much as I was able to obtain the material.
All videos are copyright of the respective studios unless explicitly mentioned otherwise.
Even as a supervisor or lead, I tend to be deeply involved with the art of characters and their performance. I love digging into the idea of a creature or character and developing possible body mechanics and character traits that fit the design. With my long experience, I can provide in-depth feedback for each department involved.
Sadly, I don’t have access to all the development work.
But, I aim to be involved in the early stages of creature development, since much of the animation also depends on the context it plays in.
I love posing for telling the story, during previz and postviz alike, and yes, then detailing the animation until it’s finished. I am versed in working with a variety of tools, from keyframe animation to using performance capture and simulations.
Cinematography – Digital Doubles – Vehicles
Below is another brief video showcasing some of my work in the realm of Virtual photography.

Cinematography has been a lifelong passion for me. I’m always happy for opportunities to apply my extensive experience with photography to the virtual worlds of VFX and/or Animation projects.
I am working with various forms of data, from manually keyframed cameras to cameras driven by external sources, like a camera rig in a capture volume. The focus is usually on reproducing the physical realism of the camera rig.

After so many years in the vibrant vfx scene in Los Angeles there are, of course, many more demo clips available, which I can share.
Please reach out to me through LinkedIn, and we can discuss the needs of your project.
